The flavor of chestnut
On the palate, it is full, not very sweet, and decidedly bitter. The warm, caramelized sensations are accompanied by the typical phenolic component of chestnut, with a long aromatic persistence.
From the Ligurian chestnut groves
Chestnut groves have been part of the Ligurian inland landscape for centuries. During their flowering, the bees collect nectar in the vicinity of our apiary in Celle Ligure.
How to pair it
Try it with aged cheeses, plain yogurt, or toasted bread. It is also interesting on focaccia, for those who love the contrast between sweet and savory.
